This Sunday also began with sleeping in. And then there was something very special: breakfast at the hostel. With a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, egg, and tea, the day starts much better! Then we looked for a bus stop (we had decided to go everywhere by bus) and off we went north. We didn't know exactly where to get off, but the bus driver told us very well and dropped us off right in front of Spice Garden, which was our first destination. We would have explored it right away, but unfortunately it was pouring rain so we had to find shelter and wait. When it got a little better, we grabbed an audio guide and started the tour. Passing by all sorts of plants, we got a huge amount of information, at the end it was honestly a bit overwhelming. Jungle plants, spices, tea, coffee, and much more to discover. And after the rain, the air was quite clean, we could finally breathe after all the haze in the city! Unfortunately, the mosquitoes also liked the air, we were bitten quite a bit in a short time. But it was still a great morning! We continued to Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm, and the bus driver was super helpful in finding it again. It was getting a bit late, and since it was a bit more expensive, we decided to skip the butterflies and go straight to Monkey Beach. Again, we took the bus, and then to the entrance of Penang National Park. The plan was actually to walk to the beach and take the boat back. Unfortunately, part of the path was no longer passable due to the weather, but we could still hike a bit. So we walked for an hour through rough terrain, jungle on the left, sea on the right. Just a dream! We were then picked up at another beach, and off we went to Monkey Beach. There we had a coconut and got into a hammock. I never thought that one day I would lie under palm trees in a hammock with a coconut in my hand, but it was such a great feeling! I could get used to it ^^ Then we explored the beach a bit and I went into the water, it was pretty warm and shallow, but I was in the sea! Then we took the boat back and then the bus back to Georgetown. To end the day, we had delicious street food and then at Love Lane (famous street with many bars and restaurants) in a bar, we relaxed and let the day end.
