Yesterday I woke up in the Ryokan in Amanohashidate in sunshine...
The view from the room
The house is ideally located in a park on the shore.
Next is the 'Tango-Bähnli' (Tango is the name of the peninsula where I am right now)
The fast blue one is not my train. No, it's the little yellow one that just arrived..
Delicious!
Smart move, right? That was in the next train.
I changed trains 3 times that day. Luckily, there was always an elevator! Otherwise, I would have missed my connection with my heavy suitcase.
It was my beautiful coastal ride with a local train, but unfortunately the weather kept getting worse....
many tunnels, forests, great bays, small villages
lovingly landscaped gardens with persimmon tree
into the mountains...
soon you could hardly see anything anymore...
but suddenly it looked like a beach.... just without the sun!
During my longer stopover in Tottori, the place with the giant dunes, luckily the sun was shining again.
The dune sand was quite damp. But the dunes were mega impressive.
Later, on the continuation of the journey, we had to wait longer at a train station until the track was cleared again.... the spontaneous announcements were of course all in Japanese. I was at the train station and didn't understand a thing!
After about half an hour, we continued at a fairly fast pace and with a lot of rattling into the night. It was a bit spooky!
Finally, I arrived in Matsue. Finally, in the train station buffet, I got the long-awaited spaghetti marinara. They tasted authentic and good! Properly al dente cooked!
