Goodbye Alessandra and Akina!

Hoʻopuka ʻia: 30.04.2017

On Fridays, people are usually bid farewell in school if they are moving on, flying home, or going on vacation. Last Friday (April 28), Alessandra and Akina were the ones. I went on two trips with Alessandra (Tren... / Mitad del ...). I have to admit that I was somewhat opportunistic and just took advantage of the opportunities that arose. Maybe it was somewhat useful for her to have someone else with her. I was a boring guy, but I think she didn't mind. She always found someone to chat with.

Akina is a Japanese girl and she's... well, almost crazy. She has no fear at all, she just goes out and looks for work wherever she wants, finds employment there, and doesn't worry about anything. On Friday evening, she had her backpack strapped to her back and took a bus from Quitumbe to the south, I think to work on a Finca. Apparently, she had to spend the night somewhere in a park near Ambato at four o'clock in the morning, we learned that on WhatsApp the next morning. Tsss! No problem for her.

As mentioned, we officially bid farewell to the two in the morning at school. In the evening, we went somewhere to one of the many bars in Plaza Foch to eat. Great atmosphere, good food, and lots of people. Man, this is really the nightlife district!

For sure, visiting here in the evening is a must for anyone coming to Quito.

I went home early (around 10:00, I believe) because I had to be back at Plaza Foch early the next day to catch the bus that would take us to Cotopaxi at 7:00. Once again, I will be going alone. This trip was organized by the school.
