On the 2nd day of our trip, we went from Hua Hin to Surat Thani and into the jungle of Khao Sok. Along the way, we got to experience a lot of new things. We got to feed wild monkeys, take a behind-the-scenes look at a coconut and pineapple plantation, and visit a 1300-year-old temple.
The next day, we set off early to the elephant camp. Upon arrival, we were able to settle into our tent and spend some time by the pool. After lunch, we got to meet the elephants, which are cared for and nurtured here at the camp. Many of the elephants living here have been freed from their working activities and are now being prepared for the wild. As visitors, we were able to wash, feed, or simply caress the animals.
Afterwards, we went on a kayak tour of the nearby river, led by locals.
Before dinner, we had the pleasure of participating in a Thai cooking class.
