Now my birthday is also over...on Saturday we went on the whitesundayisland tour as planned. Landed on a speed boat with party music, we went to the first snorkeling spot, where we discovered beautiful fish. I'm a bit annoyed that I don't have an underwater camera 🙈. Then we went to the second spot to admire the corals. 🐠🐡🐟 Arriving at the famous Whiteheaven beach, one of the 6 most beautiful beaches in the world, we had delicious lunch and an hour to relax on the beach. In the end, we went to another island to sip delicious cocktails. 🍹 In the evening, I received a video call from my parents and my boyfriend with a birthday cake, and I got to blow out the candles through the phone 😁. A successful ending.
Now for Sunday! Some of you may have already seen it, my best friend spontaneously decided to take the long journey to come and visit me. My biggest birthday present! 🥰 Picked up from the airport, we went into the city of Cairns, where we spent the first night in a nice hostel. The next morning, we went to pick up our rental car, as we unfortunately only have two seats, we need an additional car. Then we headed further up to Port Douglas, walked along the beach, and ended the day in a nice cafe. Today we got up early because we had a crocodile tour planned. The conclusion: it was amazing! When something like this happens in the wild, it often takes luck to see the desired animals, but we did it! 5 of them! Incredible animals. After that, we continued to the Daintree National Park, hiked some trails, walked cautiously along the beach because swimming is prohibited, beware of crocodiles 😬 Yes, from here onwards, bathing is prohibited...That's why I decided to travel back down with my friend for the next few days, so she can go to beaches where swimming is allowed🙂 now we are comfortably together in our tent on top of our car, because my buddy made room and moved into the tent on the floor for now 😁.
