Batu Caves - i-City - Genting Highlands
As we don't just want to see the city of Kuala Lumpur alone, we settle down for a week outside the city. After some navigation problems, we finally found our hotel.
Batu Caves is our first destination. We hike to the caves accompanied by the hot radiant sun. There is so much to see here. In the first cave, we admire many figures that depict the history/religion of Malaysia, as well as the wonderful vault itself.
We also climb the stairs to the Dark Cave, accompanied by many small, cheeky monkeys.
One day or night, we visit i-City. It's just indescribable.. We stroll through the brightly lit park with a sea of lights representing trees, flowers, animals, and much more.
We also really want to see the Highlands. After a long wait, we take the cable car to our destination. Although the Genting Highlands themselves were too crowded and loud for us, we still enjoyed the journey there and back, where we could enjoy the nature and the view over Malaysia.
During this week, the Muslims' festival took place. The end of the fasting month Ramadan. Through the many nice people we had the chance to meet here, we learned a lot about the religion and culture.
A week full of contrasts and experiences in which we take back unforgettable impressions!
