Kangaroos cuddle on Phillip Island

Hoʻopuka ʻia: 23.10.2017

Last weekend, Lisa and I took a trip to Phillip Island, where we first cuddled kangaroos. They are soooo soft and soooo cute!!! :) Each of us took at least 300 or even 400 photos with the kangaroos... they were just too amazing! We also saw the little penguins on the island (in their boxes - apparently they live in there). And the penguins are cute too. And of course, we also saw koalas in the park - although we were not allowed to touch them. Even though I'm generally not a fan of pets - I would take a kangaroo or koala as a pet too.... But unfortunately, that's not possible, so I bought a cuddle koala instead! Now I have one!
Since we were traveling in a big land rover, we wanted to sleep in the car. Spontaneously, we decided not to go to a campsite, but to try out the backpacker life. So, we parked on an abandoned street (where there were still one or two houses), behind some trees and right next to a few cows.... and then prepared our mattress, etc. in the car. While Lisa slept comfortably, I thought about what would happen if someone knocked on the window right now.... because we're not actually allowed to park there. But eventually, I fell asleep too (and of course, woke up several times to make sure everything was okay). Fortunately, no one knocked on the window at night! In the morning, we drove to the nearest beach, where there were toilets and sinks, among other things, to get ready and have breakfast. Then we continued to explore the island and arrived back in Melbourne exhausted in the evening. But the trip was definitely worth it, because what could be better than cuddling kangaroos? ♥
