27/02/2018: What a day!! In rain and wind, we actually took the shuttle bus to the mountain in the morning, which was completely covered in fog and couldn't be seen at all. I was so excited! In the bus, I met a German mother and her son, and I joined them for the hike so that Joao (the Portuguese) could run up the mountain at his own pace. What can I say? It was an incredible experience! We pushed ourselves to our limits, sometimes we couldn't even keep our eyes open because it had rained so much, but we made it! 20km in 6 hours at an altitude of about 1900!

And that's how it all started...

Over hill and dale...

Along the edge...

In wind and fog and without a clear view 😄

All the way to the top!!!

Well, as you can see, you can't see anything. 😄🙈 But that didn't bother us. Along the way, we met three New Zealanders, a fun group. One of them was a lawyer and had been working in Munich for 1.5 years. When he spoke German, he had a Bavarian dialect! 😂 That was sooo funny. Together, we were a great team!!!

My highlight were the Emerald Lakes, which must look stunning in sunny weather:

But precisely because of this weather, we were extremely motivated and had fun, even though we couldn't take long breaks because we would immediately get cold and wet. But we persevered and made it! 💪🏻 I'm so glad I didn't cancel it just because of the weather! I was actually close to it 😅 In the evening, I was really looking forward to my hot shower. ♥️

28/02/2018: Today, I spent the whole day on the bus to go to Wellington and finally meet Sina! It's soooo nice to see her again after over half a year! ♥️ I'll tell you what we're going to do here next time! 🤗 For now, here's just a photo from the bus!
