26th. Day: In the morning at the pitch the weather is already significantly better again, and during the day it even becomes really good. In the morning we enjoy the atmosphere at the beach, read, watch the waves, or do sports.
In the early afternoon we set off to conquer the tourist attraction, the island of Monemvasia. When we see a cruise ship in the harbor, we fear the worst. In the end, there was pleasantly little activity on the island, because the ship was 'The World', and it only had 136 guests on board (interesting concept, interested people should google it).
We really like both the 'new' lower town, which is fully geared towards tourism (located at the bottom by the beach), as well as the historic upper town, which was largely deserted on that day (located at the top on the rock). We spend the whole afternoon there and are constantly thrilled by the successful interplay of buildings, red rock, and blue-green sea.
After dark, we return to our beautiful pitch.
