We stayed overnight in the city of Ohrid because the weather was really unpredictable. Once again, we stayed in a very affordable hotel room (16€ for two people with four Macedonian stars) because it started raining in the evening and it was so relentless and cooling that the next day even the mountains to the north were covered in snow. Fall is being relentless here too! >.< Nevertheless, we naturally didn't miss a visit to the city center and a walk through the enormous archaeological garden with a famous view of St. John's Church. We had to seek warmth in a cozy restaurant and replenish our energy. The hot chocolate saved us: not just any simple cocoa or hot chocolate made with milk or water, but a sort of liquid pudding served as hot chocolate. Incredibly satisfying. However, the recurring rain with cold wind ultimately pushed us to move on quickly and prevented us from going hiking in the Macedonian mountains for another one or two days. That's why we headed to Albania.
