Today at 09.00 am we take the train to Washington DC in 3 hours. The Moynihan Train Hall station is just round the corner from our hotel.

We reside like royalty at the Waldorf Astoria - thanks to Jan's excellent connections. The construction of the hotel is impressive, not only from the outside....

also from the inside...

In 2022, the former post office building was converted into a hotel. It lies between the US Capitol and the White House. The building was constructed between 1892 and 1899.
