Yesterday night had a surprise for us. This morning on the way to work, we received an SMS that turtle tracks were found on the beach of Las Catalinas ('our beach').
We went straight to the beach to measure the tracks and take photos for documentation.
It looked like two turtles came ashore to look for a good place for their eggs. They dug four holes in the process. We carefully examined the holes and concluded that one hole could be a nest.
As a result, we roped off the nest to protect it.
And yes, maybe we will have baby turtles at our beach in a few weeks. How exciting is that.
