It looked a bit like an "old aunt," but it brought us safely and calmly across the pond. This flight lasted 12 hours, and most people used it to catch up on sleep or watch the latest movies on the board entertainment system. The curious thing about a flight in this direction is that you feel like you're standing still in time. You board in the early afternoon and, from a global perspective, land just a few hours later.
We were delighted with great weather and a fantastic view with continuous sunshine. We flew over Iceland and Greenland before entering Canada on the American continent. The final phase took us entirely across the United States until we finally landed in Phoenix.
Maury Schulte, our tour manager, greeted us at the airport and took us by bus to Scottsdale, which is near downtown Phoenix. We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant around the corner. After that, it was quiet at the hotel. The 24-hour journey took everything out of the LJC members. Now we're recharging for an amazing trip. Good morning to Germany and goodnight in Scottsdale.
