Originally, my plan was to take the bus to Mirissa which is about 1 hour away, to go to the beach there, which is supposed to be very beautiful. But this morning, the government imposed a curfew from today 6 pm until Monday 6 am. The hostel owner recommended that I take the bus to Unawatuna instead, as it only takes 15 minutes to get there. If I had gone to Mirissa, it could have been that I wouldn't get a bus back.
So, I first went to the supermarket to stock up on water, bananas, and some cookies, because even the supermarkets and roadside stalls are closing here.
Afterwards, I went to the beach. On the way, I bought some souvenirs, as it won't be possible to do so for the next few days. The beach was also super beautiful. The sky was bright blue and the water was so turquoise.
I then took a tuk-tuk back and quickly freshened up at the hostel to go for another walk, because starting tomorrow, we probably won't be able to leave the hostel until Monday morning. On the way, I bought fresh spices and a small watermelon, which I will consume tomorrow.
Let's see how restricted I will be for the next 2 days. I was actually looking forward to spending the last two days at the beach again, but I think I won't be able to do that anymore. But at least I had a nice last day at the beach!
