We had a restless night in Padron (the funfair music played until 4 a.m. and Marlo had a lot to process). We learned that the weather on our long trip today wasn't kind to us either. So the forecast is: continuous rain!!!
At the start everyone was in a bad mood, Marlo is still restless and we put on all the rain gear straight away. We start in the drizzle and travel quickly, initially through unsightly suburbs, later through forests, villages and field paths. We have 18 km to Milladoiro and Marlo decides to catch up on his sleep deprivation. We decide accordingly to walk until he wakes up, no matter what the weather is like... we reach the finish line around 2 p.m. in heavy rain. Dad pushed hard and sometimes carried the baby bath, the boys heaved the baby carrier up the bumpy forest paths and were proud to walk the path with Marlo.
A very strenuous hike without a break, but with a lot of depth through beautiful family conversations.
We end the wet day with the longed-for shower, a dryer in the apartment, a nice meal at the allyoucaneat steakhouse and a game night.
