Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, welcome to a new episode of Californication. Midterms went well. Actually, very well. However, that is also dangerous. As a procrastinator, who usually only opens the book when the house is on fire, I am once again encouraged to go to the beach instead of studying. Let's hope this works in the future.
It never gets boring here. Never.
My 22nd birthday or rather my birthday weekend is one for the history books. At least the abbreviated version. After the beach party on Friday, it was 12:00 happy birthday. That my team gave me a helicopter flight lesson is really insane. But simply unbelievable!
The next morning it was decided to have beer for breakfast and in the afternoon spontaneously go jet-skiing.
If you ever have the opportunity to do it: Do it! No matter when, how, how much it costs, it's worth every cent!
At this point, it would have been a great memory. After a breathtaking sunset, the evening continued at Barrel Republic where you could tap beers from all over the world and in all possible flavors at about 40 different taps, heaven for guys from Bavaria who like beer. Also for all other guys who like beer. After a tour through the clubs of Encinitas, the night was spent on the beach with Uncle Tequila, Uncle Sleep was not invited. At this point, the recordings of the black box end. (Which might not be a bad thing)
That the kayak tour in La Jolla the next afternoon initially went numb and then with the greatest effort and pain, is obvious. That our tour guide offered us a bottle of tequila for standing in our tandem kayak for 10 seconds and facing the waves without falling into the water, was an irony of fate.
Uni Monday took place without me.
At this point, in my opinion, you can see the 'dilemma' between 'it's starting to feel like everyday' and 'my god, what a great place here'. I don't think it will ever be really everyday for a German here.
Stay tuned, the sun is shining.
