Regardless of whether he is right or not, we have arrived in Irkutsk and thus very far east. To be precise, we have reached the easternmost point we intended to reach with the Trans-Siberian Railway. Tomorrow we will go another 75 kilometers east, but by bus.
Yesterday, after a hearty breakfast in the really great hotel in Krasnoyarsk, we strolled around a bit and then got on the train around 3:00 p.m. local time.
With another hour's time difference (we are now at Berlin +6), we arrived in Irkutsk around 12 o'clock and explored the city.
Now we're going to bed because we have to get up early tomorrow and drive to the airport. Because that's where we pick up our visitor and then travel to Lake Baikal together. The anticipation is great!
Best regards from Irkutsk and a pleasant flight to our visitor! :-)
