Today we have planned a marathon distance, 800 km
...which means driving, drinking coffee, refuelling, changing drivers, marveling at how monotonous and yet how different the landscape looks behind every curve.....
...... red ....
...... with speckles.....
.... which are termite mounds that shape the landscape for more than
100 km.....
...... with raging rivers
as can be clearly seen........
...... and at least 3 crossings of the southern tropic of Capricorn........

....... but eventually we actually arrive and toast with our traditional landing drink, cheers, we've earned it today.
