At 10:30 am, the ferry leaves Fraser Island - the sky is even grayer than yesterday... the storm has wreaked havoc.
My journey will take me up the east coast of Australia over the next few days, all the way through Queensland - from Fraser Island (near Hervey Bay), to Yeppoon, Mackay, Whitsunday, Townsville, and Cairns, up to the Great Barrier Reef.
As soon as I sit in the car at noon, it starts raining, the sky is so gray - I can't see much of the so-called 'Sunshine Coast' today... Photos are cancelled... ;-)
However, I have planned a travel day today anyway, driving over 400 km to the north.
I finally make a stop in Yeppoon - luckily the rain has stopped and it's a pleasant 24 degrees.
I find a cozy little Italian restaurant for dinner and then hang out a bit at the nice Vu Wine Bar right next to my apartment...
I will drive a decent distance north again tomorrow - hoping for better weather...
