So the first week is over and done with.
A lot has happened, and not exactly pleasant or beautiful things. However, I don't want to write about it because it wouldn't change anything. The work is really good and enjoyable. My colleagues are very nice and help me with everything. In the first time in a new job, I always feel a bit clumsy, so it's important to get support. I have that from all sides.
We are currently preparing for the safari theme with the children, as we will be going on a safari in Nankuse next week. YAY, my first safari already in the second week here! There I will see lions, baboons, cheetahs, leopards, caracals, and wild dogs.
For this, we are making proper tourist hats with the children.
It's nice when I'm picked up by the family for lunch. Usually, we have lunch together. I couldn't believe it, but we got food from the Indian restaurant.
Palak Paneer in Windhoek! It's not quite as delicious as at home, but hey, what more could you want?!
Yesterday we went 'shopping' in the mall. It's quite modern and you can get everything you need there.
Today we are going to the cinema to watch Suicide Squad, I'm so excited. A week ago today, I was sitting at my first breakfast in Windhoek. It feels like I've been here for months. I get along so well with my family here, it already feels like I've always belonged.
Nevertheless, I miss my family and friends in Germany every day, but thanks to today's possibilities, I am always in contact with everyone. That gives strength in all situations.
So that's it for now from me.
Ralph, you are in my heart.
See you soon :*
