We sleep in and enjoy our last breakfast. It rains heavily in the morning (is the sky crying because we're leaving? ๐Ÿ˜„), so we even have to change tables in between ๐Ÿ˜… The rain is almost horizontal due to the wind. The nice waiter receives a tip and we chat with the Swiss people. They will stay until Sunday morning - Papa has postponed his dive to tomorrow because he would have been alone today.

We pack our things, but we're done so quickly that we can still chill on the balcony for a while (is Benny a bit hungover? ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿท) and sit relaxed in the lobby/at the bar. In Melly's blog, we note down the things we are looking forward to the most at home ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™ƒ

At half past 12, it's time to check out (the blue peacock bids us farewell by spinning around ๐Ÿฆš๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡) - our drinks bill unexpectedly low ๐Ÿ˜„ the 'BWL Justus' couple probably had a higher bill because of all the cocktails ๐Ÿคฃ - and we cross over to the mainland, where we will be picked up at 2 p.m. for the drive to Mombasa. ๐Ÿš™ We have the same driver as last week. After the fancy resorts on Diani Beach, we pass through Ukunda (where we arrived a week ago). Since it also rained here, it looks like after a muddy festival - including garbage... We watch the many tuktuks and motorcyclists in the chaotic hustle and bustle ๐Ÿ›บ๐Ÿ›ต and take the Likoni ferry towards the airport ๐Ÿ›ณ Just like before the airport in Nairobi, there are many street vendors, but also many people begging... Albright had already told us that they had decided not to work ๐Ÿ˜• We buy some nuts - at least this vendor is doing something for his money.

The port of Mombasa is right next to the airport and looks a bit like the Port of Hamburg with its blue cranes ๐Ÿ˜… We pass a long promenade with flags of all countries in the world. Through the check-in - before boarding, we look at some wedding photos and shed a few tears of joy ๐Ÿ˜ญ. The waiting hall is partially open on the sides - crows and monkeys are present... The banana that is on our table... was... ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ our own fault ๐Ÿคฃ

During the connecting flight to Nairobi, the sun is setting ๐ŸŒ… In the middle of the way, we fly past Mount Kilimanjaro, which stands out from the clouds โ˜๏ธโ›ฐโ˜๏ธ Afterwards, we all agree - the friendliest cabin crew we have ever had ๐Ÿ˜„

In Nairobi, unfortunately, we have to leave the domestic area and go through security again for the international flights... Luckily, we have plenty of time for the connecting flight. We play some cards during the boarding time.

We board and hope for a pleasant overnight flight to Frankfurt. This concludes this blog ๐Ÿ˜‰

P.S.: 4 weeks Mr & Mrs Wabner ๐Ÿคตโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฐโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‡

Addendum: We have safely landed in Hamburg - this time with both suitcases ๐Ÿ˜‰
