Yesterday morning we set off early for Saragossa. We decided to take the route off the highway and drove through rural areas. I really like the area with its different olive groves or almond plantations. This time there were also huge fields of paprika (yellow) next to us. They looked gigantic. I've never seen anything like it before. The drive to Saragossa was definitely very beautiful.
In Saragossa, we immediately headed for the large square with the cathedral. We were very impressed by the magnificent buildings. The square was also beautifully designed with several fountains, and statues of painters were positioned throughout. Daniela visited the cathedral from the inside. I waited outside on the square with Littlefoot and watched the lively hustle and bustle! We then walked to the river and onto a bridge, where we had a super nice view of the cathedral. That was very impressive. After that, we strolled through the old town a bit and were also impressed by two or three alleyways. They reminded us of the old town in Düsseldorf. But other than that, this city was lacking in flair. Saragossa, like the region, has a strong simplicity. But unlike the landscape, which captivated us with its sometimes austere beauty, Saragossa did not succeed in doing so...
The food was also terrible. We had chosen a cute restaurant and ordered tapas there. HELP - they were by far the worst tapas ever! After the meal, we set off and drove back to Aizon.
The owner of our accommodation was present and gave us great information for our journey tomorrow.
In the evening, Littlefoot once again served as a photo model. Daniela placed her in various locations on the property and in the accommodation. The little one was generously rewarded with treats, and she didn't mind it 'at all' :-())!
