NYC Sightseeing for $0

Oñemoherakuãva: 30.07.2024

If the food is already so expensive, then at least sightseeing should cost nothing 😆

We start the day after a $60 breakfast at the hotel with Subway line 1 towards Staten Island Ferry.

The ferry costs nothing and runs every half hour between Manhattan and Staten Island after rush hour (I skipped the only New York outlet there 🤣). By 10:30 AM, 90% of the people are tourists who are all standing on one side 😆😆😆

In one hour, we went back and forth and had a great view of the Statue of Liberty as well as the Manhattan skyline 💪🏻.

Next, we went to Little Island on the Hudson River. An impressive park with a stage on concrete stilts in the shape of tulips. https://littleisland.org/

Great tip from Andreas N. Thanks again 🙏

You have a fantastic view of the downtown skyline from the highest point, just from the other side.

Walked a bit on the Highwalk, unfortunately closed from 16th Street, but still worth a visit! https://www.thehighline.org/visit/

Before lunch, we stopped by the Flatiron Building, which is unfortunately wrapped up for renovation, bummer!

Marten discovered a shop for minerals/fossils on 5th Avenue. Totally awesome 🤩👍🏻

The manager took a lot of time for Marten's questions and the exhibits were gigantic!

We ended this day in style with 3 slices of NY pizza 🗽🪨🛳🍕🍕🍕
