Yes, today is already Wednesday and I haven't had time to write a report for you yet. A week ago we picked Jesse up at the airport in Calgary. What a joy. We were there the day before so that nothing went wrong and we didn't miss Jesse. Our parking space is close to the city, not great but it's good. In the morning we go for a walk by the river and then set off at lunchtime. There is a parking lot at the airport especially for large cars, so no problem for Manni. We are sitting in a bar in the arrivals hall. Jesse's plane from Frankfurt is on time. How nice to be able to hold our son in our arms after four months. What do we want to tell? (Although we often talk on the phone.) And what do we want to show Jesse and share our impressions with him. After a beer in the airport, today we only have enough space to go to last night's parking space.
This week our path takes us over the Rocky Mountains. We go to the farmers market, to the RV dealer, so Jesse can look at really big trailers. The weather is wonderful, the sun is shining over the mountains and the snow is here again. Of course there are campfires in the snowstorm and delicious food in Manni.
The winter sports resorts in Lake Louise and Banff are very similar to those in Switzerland. A little touristy style is also fun. Shopping, eating out and so on. Here you actually meet other campers. The tour through the mountains is something completely different than the journey through the prairie. The three of us are amazed now.
In Lussier we visit the hot springs. Even on a Monday morning we are far from alone here, although we thought this was an insider tip from Jörg's hairdresser from Medicin Hat. Well, the memory of Iceland catches up with us as we sit in the 37*C water.
The landscape changes every now and then. Lots of forest and then steppe landscape again. We get to know Sun, a young car salesman, to whom Jesse inquires about a Ford Bronco. They exchange business cards and make new contacts again. We always find nice ones Places.Winter doesn't really let go of us.Yes, 1 week is nothing, time is running out.But it is a wonderful time.
We'll get back to you
