Despite yesterday's shower, Jana and Joachim still smell like sulfur (Birgit had refused to take a bath in the Ngawha Springs). After a very warm farewell from Hala, we made our way to our last New Zealand destination, Auckland. With a quick stop in Waipu Cove and a long black coffee, we continued to Waiwera Beach, passing Orewa Beach with kite surfers (!) and crossing the Harbour Bridge to Auckland City.
The district where we live here is very stylish, and our car is parked right behind a Bentley. However, this time there is no photo of the accommodation, as the apartment does not have a sea view. We spent the afternoon at 2 city overlooks with volcanic origins, the One Tree Hill and the Mount Eden. Unfortunately, we got stuck in the city's rush hour traffic, but eventually reached the city, or rather the Queens Street. There, we strolled down to the harbor and satisfied ourselves with tuna, salad, spinach filo, and white wine in the evening sun by the water. Jana insisted on taking a quick swim in the water during sunset, with a view of the Harbour Bridge. Starting tomorrow, there will be strong winds and rain here, so we are making the most of it.
