Today we want to explore Stanley Park by bike. After breakfast, we will drive towards Vancouver by car. Thanks to the navigation system, we find our way easily, and it is still easy to find parking in the park at this time of year and hour. From the parking lot, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Spokes Bike Rentals. Each of us chooses a mountain bike and we also get a lock and helmets - wearing a helmet is mandatory here, and we think that's a good thing 🚲 then we start our ride around Stanley Park - that's about 11km. After that, we continue along the water until we reach the 'World of Science'. Since we still want to see a bit of downtown, we navigate towards Gastown and admire the steam-powered clock there. Nearby, we take a break at Steamworks, a small brewery where they serve good beer and burgers 🍔 🍺 We pass by the Canadian Place on our way back to the park. We return our bikes and head back to the car. All in all, we covered 22km. It was very nice, and you see more with a bike than on foot.
