The last stop of our journey was Bangkok. Admittedly, the city didn't really impress us. There were too many people, stench and dirt on every corner, and an incredibly high noise level. Nevertheless, we made the best of it and visited the Grand Palace with the Golden Buddha (national shrine), went for a stroll in MBK, and spent our last evening above the rooftops of Bangkok at Mahanakhon. Here, the Skywalk was a special experience, as there was nothing but a glass pane separating us from the ground 314 meters below. The view of Bangkok as a sea of lights at night was a fantastic conclusion to our time in Thailand, and we were eagerly looking forward to continuing our journey to Sydney. On our way there, we had a layover in Singapore, where we took a free sightseeing tour.
