We arrived in Basseterre in the morning.

Still a bit tired, we boarded the tender and had to wait for quite some time until the bus picked us up for the excursion.

During the ride, there were explanations and free drinks, including various cocktails with rum, which always kept the mood lively.

For entertainment, masked dancers came onto the wagons and performed a short show based on a tradition from the times of slavery.
Masquerade DanceAfter the train ride ended, the bus took us back to the ship, which was now anchored off the next port.
Scenic Railway RideWe strolled along the large sandy beach because there were supposed to be monkeys by the “Shipwreck Bar” at the end of the beach.
Beach WalkIndeed, we spotted some of the small monkeys in the trees.
Squirrel MonkeyHowever, they did not venture to the feeding station of the bar. Occasionally, a mongoose would slip by in search of food.
