On Friday, we drove our RV to the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein and parked it in Niebüll. We wanted to stay there for two nights to explore Sylt.
Morsum Cliff
In the afternoon, we took a train directly to Morsum, a town in the east of the island, which begins at the Hindenburg Dam that connects Sylt to the mainland.

After a coffee break in a small café at the train station, we made our way to the Morsum Cliff.

The nature reserve is crossed by several hiking trails.

On the coast, the path was quite muddy, and we had some difficulty continuing on without getting our feet wet.

On the cliff, there was a well-built boardwalk and a beautiful view.

The sky was clear, and despite the still wintry temperatures, it was pleasant in the sun.

The next morning, we took the train to Westerland and then the bus to List.

The town is located in the north of Sylt, and it includes the northernmost point of Germany.

We didn't walk all the way there, but instead enjoyed a short round trip to the West Beach and back to List.

Along the way, we also climbed a 'mountain' with a beautiful heath landscape.

Unfortunately, the view wasn't very good due to the foggy weather.

As a result, we couldn't see very far.

At the West Beach, it was chilly, and unfortunately, the only café was still closed.

We walked along the coast on the dike back to List, encountering some dike sheep that braved the cold wind.

Upon arriving in town, we visited the 'Experience Center Natural Forces', which features an interactive exhibition about climate change and life on the coast and in the Wadden Sea.

Since it had become even foggier and more uncomfortable (and also quite late), we took the next bus back to Westerland and skipped another walk.
List
We wandered a bit through the town center because the next train was not scheduled to leave for another 40 minutes.
Westerland
Then we took the train back to Niebüll.
