We leave behind the tropical forests of Panama and head towards the mountains. Take water taxi 25 to Almirante. Then continue by bus for 3 hours through the mountains to Boquete. The landscape is impressive, which is why some people call it the Little Switzerland.
Boquete is a small welcoming town located in a valley surrounded by the undulating foothills of the Central American Cordillera. It is the starting point for countless excursions, such as hiking tours. The Barú Volcano is the highest mountain in Panama at 3,476m and from its summit, on a clear day, you can see both oceans.
