And the Groundhog Day, jet lag, greets me daily, and I am awake for 2 hours 🤪.
Yesterday I was on the Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles. Originally, I wanted to book a tour from here, which costs about 110 AUD (1 AUD = € 0.63). I have now paid 20 AUD for petrol and had an exciting ride with nice people, and challenged myself in the English language 🙈.
Thanks to Facebook, I met Nadine from Munich on the first day in the backpacker group, and she met Kristi from Scotland and Mujtaba, a student from Pakistan, here on site.
So the four of us went on a 12-hour tour to the Great Ocean Road with various stops. Mutjaba is studying here and has a car.
It was very impressive to see what nature creates, and in the end, a portion of Fish & Chips couldn't be missed. And not to forget, there was actually a big kangaroo hopping by the side of the road into the bush 😍. It happened so fast that I could only see it briefly and unfortunately didn't take a photo.
After I settled into bed with a glass of Australian red wine upon arrival, the others met up to party... I'm too old for that 😅. Well, Kristi is only 20 and could be my daughter. I don't think the three of them know how old I am and that I'm staying in a deluxe single room in the hostel instead of a shared room 😂.
Soon I will be heading to Victoria Market and then meeting the others in the city. We want to do the "Free Tour" at 2:30 pm, a 2.5-hour free city tour...
