The start of the day was very quiet today.
After the send-off party, there was strong sea swell. But it wasn't because of the small waves, but rather because of the large Long Island Iced Teas...
Fortunately, our "Abu Dhabi in Lights" tour didn't start until 5:45 PM.
Our friends were able to leave by bike at noon for their excursion 😅.
Our tour took us through Abu Dhabi, past all the skyscrapers. But here they're only about 400m tall compared to Dubai.
But our destination was Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace. There was a light and sound show about the history of the UAE.
We then continued on to Capital Gate. It's intentionally the world's most inclined tower, with an 18 degree slant.
By the way, that's another thing here in the UAE – everything always has to be the biggest, tallest, most expensive in the world. Let's leave that at that.
Finally, we went to Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the largest in the Emirates and one of the largest mosques in the world.
Fortunately, there's no "sea swell" today and we can sleep peacefully.
Wishing you a peaceful night too and stay healthy.
