Stopover in Guayaquil

We crossed the seventh national border by bus and headed to Ecuador. Our first stop was Guayaquil and despite its bad reputation, we immediately felt comfortable. Whether it was due to our super dedicated and nice host or the tour day, we cannot say. The ride on the Ferris wheel, strolling along the Malecon 2000, and the bus tour were simply beautiful! Our anticipation for Galapagos increased immeasurably through our research, inquiries at travel agencies, and tips from returning travelers.
