25th - 27th November
Unfortunately, the bus that was supposed to pick us up in Hervey Bay in the morning broke down in Airlie Beach. Therefore, we had to wait an hour longer for the next bus. At 8.40am we were finally able to head towards Noosa. 🚌
We arrived there at 2pm. Sabine and Andy had the same destination as Jenny and me. Sabine even booked the same hostel as us.
The hostel was okay. However, I got the top bunk bed,🛌 and it didn't have a ladder or a guard rail. Jenny was in a different room for the first time since our trip, but Sabine was also in my room.
Unfortunately, our hostel was a bit far away, so we always depended on the shuttle to get to the beach and the center. Of course, the minivan was too small for all the guests. 🚐 so we didn't have a seat one time...
Even though everything is decorated for Christmas, it still feels like summer to me. ☀️
The beach was completely crowded...
In the evening, we went to the Aldi supermarket, which was two kilometers away, to buy some groceries. It was my first Aldi experience while traveling. 😍 For dinner, we had omelette for a change, but it didn't turn out well because of the non-stick pan...🍳
26th November - Day in Noosa
Today, Sabine, Jenny, and I met Andy in the center of Noosa.
Since it was the weekend, the center of Noosa, especially the beach, was completely overcrowded.
Noosa is a very fancy, upscale, and completely overpriced town. Here, I saw German cars for the first time.
By the way, in Australia, you can't get an ice cream for less than 5 dollars! 🍨🍦 so it was clear that the price in Noosa started at 7 dollars. 🤣
Surprisingly, it was quite quiet there and walking in the forest was very pleasant.
The coast walk was really beautiful - it's simply breathtaking to walk along the coast.
