We are here, we are here, we are here!! The first impressions on foreign soil

Completely exhausted from the long flight but delighted, we safely landed in Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand.

After the first well-deserved cigarette, we treated ourselves to the luxury of taking a taxi to our first accommodation. Booked for 2 days, we are staying in the heart of Chiang Mai. After a really short 'freshen-up session', nothing could stop us as we immersed ourselves in the hustle and bustle. The first impressions are overwhelming. Like being on another planet - and that's a good thing!

Firstly, we naturally looked for something delicious, which we found directly with this incredible selection.

Strengthened and satisfied, we made our way back to our accommodation. An unplanned 'power nap' felt so incredibly good.

Well, curious about what awaits us, we immediately stormed onto the street after our short nap. Of course! we had to take care of our physical well-being first - which we did :)

After strolling around the area for a while, we settled down in a cozy bar, albeit completely empty. It had excellent live music, and since we were the only guests, it was a great private concert just for us! We took advantage of the great atmosphere and made plans for the next few days. We're already super excited about it.

We probably would have stayed there longer, but with our meager sales of 220 Baht - equivalent to 6 euros (including tip), we were probably not very supportive for the business, and the bar closed at midnight. So we started making our way home, with the thought of updating our travel blog. And that's exactly what we're doing, as you can see. At - and we emphasize - 3:18 AM in the morning!

Alright, now we're really tired, tomorrow is going to be eventful, and the last cigarette is glowing. Time for bed!!
