The week went by quickly again, especially when you're at work every day. That's why we thought, as a reward, let's go to the first big National Park on the weekend. The couple we met at work moved to our location where we are currently stationed, so they came along as well. We started on Saturday, about a 2.5-hour drive. But what can I say? It was UNBELIEVABLE! The water was turquoise blue like I had never seen before, the views breathtaking, and the best part of all: the animals! My first encounter with kangaroos. I was overwhelmed, such beautiful, cute creatures and many of them so friendly. I could have probably touched one, I was so close, but I didn't dare yet 😁. We then went for a "Wildlife Walk" along this path, and behind it was a huge field full of more kangaroos. Big, small, light, dark, moms, dads, babies, everything was there. But those weren't the only animals we encountered, we also met the chubby little wombats, but they were a bit more timid. It was beautiful to stand in the field during sunset and watch the kangaroos hop around. 🌞 When darkness fell, we made our way and found a camping spot, spent the night there, and said goodbye to the couple this morning, as they are heading in the other direction. We returned to our old location because we're going back to work tomorrow.
Even though we've been here for a month now (which is incredible), I can say: I have arrived!
Ps: Two pictures don't have the best quality as they were taken from my camera.
