Mount Taranaki - Through the Monsoon

Off to Taranaki! We actually thought we would see an impressive great mountain and its summit. But then we got into the clouds and later into a downpour. Well prepared, we plunged into the adventure.

The descent through a jungle in pouring weather was the highlight. And later, only for a few minutes, the summit appeared without clouds.

Lesson of the day: The poncho. A small baggage for Felix, a large rain protection for Katrin.
