Once again, we wake up at 5 a.m., and once again, it is already very hot in the early morning. It is perfect beach weather and we drive to Nobby Beach, a wide sandy beach away from the surfer paradise, the hotspot in the area. The water is about 25 degrees Celsius warm, massive waves are crashing in and the lifeguard has raised the yellow flag, be cautious. The swimming area is highly restricted and the lifeguards are making sure that no one goes outside of this area. In addition, helicopter pilots are observing the beach and chasing those who do not obey the rules out of the water. Frank is impressed by the waves, the current, and the undertow, it is low tide, and wonders why parents go into the water with relatively small children. We can't stay for more than an hour, we would burn our skin badly. In the afternoon, we spend our time aimlessly, a walk to the backwater is also possible. We observe the jet skiers on the water and are amazed that on the campground, jet skis, boats, and cars are allowed to be washed after use. Impossible on German campgrounds. Tomorrow we will visit the first national park and get away from the tourist hustle and bustle. It may happen that there is no internet connection.
