Since it is still windy and rainy here on the southern coast of Spain, it is unpleasant to do things outside. Our motto has always been: let's go to the sea, because we will get wet anyway. And in Parque Natural Cabo de Gata we put this into practice and spent half the day in the sea, surfing, riding waves, or just letting ourselves be washed ashore. After we were pretty exhausted when we returned to the camper, we relaxed for the rest of the day and enjoyed being indoors and dry during the rain.
The next day, we drove a bit further along the coast to another parking lot, but stayed in the national park. Here too, we tried our hand at surfing until hurricane-like gusts of wind no longer allowed us to paddle out to sea. Our bodyboard even flew across the road once because I couldn't hold it anymore due to the wind. I was glad that no car was coming and no one was obstructed by it. After that, we had enough of the wind and decided to visit a city again. Motril has only a few nice corners. Mainly it was just crowded and loud. In contrast to Almuñécar. The city we visited the next day. There we walked along the beach, snorkeled between the rocks, and enjoyed that this city, unlike many others, was not overcrowded due to tourists. There were many small fishing boats on the beach and their owners sat in between, making music by drumming and singing. The weather was excellent again! It was a pleasure to enjoy it with blue sky and sunshine.
