Arriving in Glasgow at the bus station around 8 pm on Wednesday evening. Then we had to walk to the hotel for a good half an hour. Annoying - but the way was totally worth it!
The 4-star hotel impressed me immediately. Already at the entrance, it was really different from our hotel in Edinburgh. Pure luxury! Wonderful. When we arrived in our room, I could hardly believe my luck. Finally soft pillows :D And a great bed. And pretty design. What more could you want? ^^
Although we had sworn to finally get a proper night's sleep the next morning, we had to get out of bed early because breakfast was only served until 10 am! So hurry hurry. But that was really good because we really got to make the most of the day!
We had bought tickets for the sightseeing bus again, the typical red double-decker. Somehow it has become our tradition - Miri and I do this tour in every city we go on vacation together :D
So in this city, too, we drove past one attraction after another in glorious sunshine. At some point we got off to do a bit of shopping, then got back on to continue. That's how it went on Thursday and Friday :)
Oh yeah, another highlight of our stay in Glasgow was definitely the nightly dinner in the Indian restaurant right downstairs in our hotel. The interior was as chic as the rest of the hotel, and the food was absolutely divine. Great service, discount for hotel guests... The food was always brought on a trolley, sometimes even by the chef himself. I had never eaten Indian food so well in my life before. Yummy :)
To put it in a nutshell: Beautiful city! And good food :D Three days are enough to see Glasgow, but I found it very beautiful :) And such good weather!
Take care!
Yours,
Leonie
