3 Sœurs et l'Éléphant
Amis du soleil, Bienvenue de nouveau. Il me reste 'juste' 25 contributions avant que je sois de retour dans le présent. Je rattrape donc lentement mon retard - mon rendez-vous...

Hi (p) ier, how are you doing?
I hope you all had a great day; I am sitting here waiting for my roommate as we drove to work together. And since we are talking about driving - well, or rather writing - let me tell you about my drive from the west side of the island to the east side. Since I have a deadline to start my work, I tried to visit all the cool places so that I wouldn't have to drive more than 3 hours for additional attractions. This also means that I once drove from one side to the other. During the drive, I stopped at Lake Tekapo, enjoyed the view, and found a cool waterfall in the middle of nowhere:
After driving all the way across the country, I took some time to explore Napier. A wonderful city on the coast.
After walking along the beach for about an hour, I decided to treat myself to a delicious ice cream since no city tour is complete without ice cream. And with the ice cream, I strolled through the city.
And because I had such a great day, I couldn't resist having another scoop of ice cream. This time from a different ice cream stand, and honestly, I should have stuck with the first ice cream stand.
That evening, there was also a festival, but I didn’t really feel like being around people, so I took a detour through Hastings and made my way back to the campsite via the viewpoint. The viewpoint was right on top of a hill chain, and I could drive directly to the top with Fridolin.

The view was really beautiful, and even though the sunset wasn’t particularly spectacular, it was still nice to watch it.
The next morning, I was off to the Bell Rock Track for another hike.
More about that in the next post,
Your Britta
