After Mt. Cook, we met up with a friend from Germany in Twizel (Jesse) who is also doing a work and travel in New Zealand. We spent a few days fishing, eating fish, and camping together. Jesse is now heading to the North Island of the South Island, so we said goodbye since we want to go to the east coast. Our next stop was only 30 minutes away, near Omarama, where we visited the 'Clay Cliffs' on the way. Today, we were so tired that we only got a coffee at Mecces in Oamaru, cooked, and hid in the van from the windy, cold weather. Tomorrow, we want to explore Oamaru in more detail and drive to Dunedin.
