A Weekend in Seattle

Publié: 29.01.2018

Friday.

After school, we treated ourselves to some ice cream. Original handmade Italian ice cream from the winner of the 2012 Florence Gelato Festival. Awesome stuff. I had Yuzu Citrus and Organic Matcha Green Tea, Anna had some brownie stuff, and Caro had something delicious too xD Then we hung out by the harbor and goofed around^^

Saturday.

At 6 o'clock in the morning, we headed to the Canada Palace to go to Seattle with Jeremie and the minibus. Travel time was 2.5 hours. Time wasted at the border was 3 hours. We had to answer questions, get our fingerprints scanned, and have our luggage x-rayed. We also had to fill out numerous pages in advance. These Americans are so curious!

But once all that was done, we went to a large shopping mall and did some serious shopping. I finally found a decent belt. Then we went to the hotel. It was super luxurious compared to the Christmas tour. One of our roommates got an upgrade, so Joffrey, Oscar, and I had a double room with 3 big beds, a kitchen, and everything xD Easy peezy. Then we had a nice dinner with Anna's roommates and had a small room party in our suite :D

Sunday.

Sightseeing. Non-stop. A little city tour. Seattle is just as ugly as Vancouver... Then we strolled through the market and took a Seattle Underground Tour. Super interesting. But once again, you could see that the Americans aren't the brightest! They built a city on mud, then burned it down, built skyscrapers on the same foundations, made of stone, but only then raised the ground level, causing the first 1-3 floors to sink into the ground. And that's what we saw. There's basically a hollow space under every sidewalk because the idiots raised the sidewalks 4 years after the streets.

Well then, the gum wall. Just look at the pictures. Disgustingly gross xD but kinda cool too. The whole street smells like bubble gum. Then we took the Skytrain to the Space Needle and enjoyed the view a bit, and then went to the glass garden of... something with an H. In any case, it was really cool to see. And as a finale, more art. And then we went back.

Canadian border crossing. In. Stamp in the passport. And asked how the weekend was. 10 seconds. Done. Ammiland sucks!
