There are beds in which you sleep like on clouds. This one in the hotel is one of them. I would love to take it with me, but it just doesn't fit in the suitcase.
Today our new car will take us to New Zealand's oldest national park, Tongariro National Park.
But before we head out, we indulge in our new sport, "Frisbee Golf".
30 km outside of Wellington there is a 9 hole court.
I continue to work on my throwing technique, Carsten maintains his communicativeness. This time with a Norwegian who also plays Frisbee Golf. And not bad at that.
A quick last look at Wellington and then we're off.
and through green pasture hills with sheep and cattle.
At the moment, the landscape is still not different from that on the South Island. And there are also parallels in the weather.
During the drive, it poured buckets, so that you could hardly see the road. So we reached our accommodation in Ohakune in pouring rain, shortly afterwards the sun made an appearance. A nice wooden house with 3 bedrooms. A nice accommodation with a nice landlady.
💡The place, with about 1000 inhabitants, primarily lives from ski tourism.
And we found out today at dinner that the ski season is over. At 9:00 pm the place is "dead".
