Our 4 weeks in New Zealand are already over. Time passed so quickly that we could hardly bear to part again. We have now been to Stephi and Allister's for the third time, and the farm now feels like a little world travel home for us. Even though we work a lot, especially physically strenuous work (which I'm really not used to), we feel incredibly comfortable here.
I don't know if it's the animals, the loving family, the landscape, or simply the peace and serenity that reigns here. Maybe it's also because it doesn't feel like we're here to work, but to visit friends. We go to netball training together, watch rugby games together, or all eat pizza together or make sushi ourselves. Suddenly, you feel incredibly happy when you sit down with the pigs or cuddle with Oscar or a cat after a hard day's work. This place will probably always be on our travel list, and we will definitely come back here in the next few years (even though it's never really on the way;-)
Thank you for everything!!! We have really taken you into our hearts!
On our last day, we spent time with Stephi and the children in Christchurch and went to a zoo. We slept in a hotel at the airport and were able to fly to Australia a little more rested at 6:30 in the morning. Now we are back in Sydney and the hard backpacker life has us again... how I have (not) missed sleeping in a dormitory... =)
