In Uttaradit, we rented a motorbike near our hotel to go to a small waterfall in the village of "Laplae". Shortly after we left, we happened to pass by Wat Phra Brommathat, where we made a quick photo stop. Then we continued towards the waterfall, which we reached after about half an hour of driving with just one turn. It turned out to be a stroke of luck, as it is largely unknown to tourists. On site, we mainly encountered local teenagers who were swinging into the water on a rope. We discovered a staircase that led us easily to a higher spot on the waterfall and followed the path through the thickets further uphill. When we reached the summit, we were completely surprised to find a picturesque small temple with very welcoming monks, for whom we seemed to be the attraction. We stayed there for 1-2 hours and had a very nice time despite some communication difficulties. We received a lot of information about nature, a small meal, and a lucky charm for each of us.
Tomorrow we are planning to continue our journey to Lampang, where we will decide spontaneously what to do.
Until then, Sophie and Anton :)
