After leaving Westport, we headed towards Franz Josef. Along the way, we made a stop at the Pancake Rocks. Upon arriving at Franz Josef, we spontaneously went skydiving (which was supposed to be a day later, but there was a bad weather forecast). The skydive was amazing, unfortunately I don't have any photos, only a video that I can't upload.
Afterwards, we had a super fun 80s party. The next day, we took a walk to the glacier.
Next, we went to Wanaka. There, we visited Puzzels - visual illusions and much more!
Then we went to Queenstown - a beautiful city! I already checked out bungy jumping there, but haven't done it yet.
When we arrived at Milford Sound, we took a scenic boat tour there - it was stunning.
Next on the itinerary was Invercargill, but unfortunately I couldn't see much of the city because it was raining heavily.
After another stop in Queenstown, we headed to Mt Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand! When we took a short walk, we could even hear/see a small avalanche in the distance.
In Christchurch, we celebrated Vijdan's birthday. It was also my last evening with the Stray bus.
I stayed in Christchurch for two more days and then found a place through friends, a kind of wwoofing place, at Hanmer Springs. I work as a gardener for 2 hours a day in exchange for free accommodation and 2 more hours for a little pocket money, in a motel.
This is where I spent my last time. Tomorrow I will return to Christchurch and the day after tomorrow my parents will already be here!
More pictures will come in a 2nd post :)
