The first impressions

Hello hello!

Yesterday morning we already enjoyed the wonderful view from our terrace during breakfast. After lunch, Tim saw an iguana from the terrace. At first, we were not sure if this was a wild animal or not, but it is owned by a neighbor a few houses away. Shortly after, we went on a little exploration tour of our 'house beach' to get to know the landscape here. We discovered new beaches and enjoyed the view from the small hill overlooking our residence, La Caleta. All in all, a great start to our vacation!

Today, after breakfast on the terrace, we headed to the beach - Playa del Duque. This is a beautiful sandy beach with free beach umbrellas. We were very impressed and had a lot of fun surfing the waves (as shown in the pictures). Tired from swimming, we took a break and enjoyed some sun. Despite the beach's popularity, it was not crowded, fortunately. In general, you can tell that there is not much going on on the island and we have already discovered a few restaurants that had to close completely due to the 1st lockdown. However, since we mostly cook for ourselves and the beaches are still accessible, this does not bother us much.
