After a short sleepless night, we landed at Hosea Kutako Airport and were picked up by our car rental company and thoroughly introduced on site to the intricacies of Namibian road traffic, road-adapted tire pressure conditions, camping equipment, tent setup, etc. The essence of the introduction - there are two important phone numbers, one from Peter who knows all the security authorities and one from Raul, who knows all the workshops. After receiving an explanation of the navigator, we were able to set off after a few signatures and drive to Windhoek.
Here we spend our first night in Namibia at an 'Urban Camp' built with great attention to detail and taste. After a basic shopping for the next few days, we stopped by Joe's Beerhouse in the evening.
Tomorrow we will head to the south to Sesriem and there enjoy the famous dune landscape in Sossusvlei - without the internet and other environmental influences.
Once we arrive in Swakopmund, we will get in touch again.
