Vanessa and Erik left early to pick up a friend from the airport, and we start the day as always.....coffee and then breakfast. The day promises to be really great in terms of solar energy, and of course, we recharge our batteries right away.
We walk to the supermarket again since we’ve decided to stay here at this spot until Monday...lovely. We walk towards the city, but this time along the coastal road, passing hotel constructions and extensive renovations...one thing is for sure: the whole city is being renovated...the “off-season” is just short. We look at the harbor and wow....the waves are really crashing spectacularly against the cliffs....it’s going to be a spectacle at the beach. We also wander through some side alleys to the “Palm Hotel,” and Freddy takes amazing photos there...really a gem right by the harbor. It’s Saturday, and we’re not quite sure how long the supermarket is open...so we hurry there and decide on the spot what to buy.
Oranges, peppers, cheese, sausage, cookies, chocolate, rolls, and bread land in our shopping basket. Unfortunately, we can't find any meat...so we have to wait until the next supermarket. We still have some frozen items left.
In the evening, I bake Freddy a pizza since we had leftover dough and tuna, and I just eat rolls and get a piece of pizza...that’s enough for me...it just needs to fill me up.
We are both totally exhausted and go to bed relatively early. Every time, there's the anxiety of whether the bed will lower properly....but we’ve already had 3 days of luck...yay..hopefully that continues.
We watch a bit of the series 1923, and then my eyes start to close...the oxygen and the fresh air make me tired.
The waves crash against the cliffs, and the spray shoots up at least 10 meters....the water comes halfway up the beach...we hope we don’t get wet feet.
But the water is calling us, and we are gently rocked to sleep.

The sea has calmed down, and we can enjoy our breakfast outside. It’s a bit windy, and the sun occasionally hides behind the clouds. I’m excited because I arranged to have a phone call with Petra today...I’m really looking forward to it since I miss my former colleague...but not the work itself. We chat for about an hour, delighted to hear each other’s voices. Unfortunately, I had to boast a bit about the peace and beautiful weather...sorry about that...
Freddy and I walk a bit in the direction we came from, check out a small beach next to ours, and continue walking to get to a palm-lined beach...but that probably belongs to a hotel complex, and of course, we can’t go in. A bit further, there’s a wall surrounding the Arsenal, so we turn back...checking off the palm beach.
It’s windy and cool, and we go straight to the car, make coffee, and eat some of the pastries from the supermarket. Still delicious...somehow, everything sweet is tastier in the fresh air.
Freddy works on editing the new intro and shortens it, while I write the blog....I still really enjoy it, and I’ll keep it up...just so I can remember it.
The evening starts with soup, and then we stream....thanks to Vodafone.
Good night...Sissi

Wow, there’s only one cup of coffee for everyone in the morning. Our power station has less power than we thought, but it turned out at least it wasn't defective...that would’ve been a disaster since we charge our laptops with it.
Now we have to make the most of the last rays of sunshine before the heavy rain and cloud cover come. We refill water, fill the container for our biodegradable toilet, sweep out the car, shake out and brush the fur, and decorate festively for Christmas...a little illuminated Christmas star.
Our neighbors are so nice and bring us 3 x 6-pack of mineral water and a bag of potatoes since they are driving...we would’ve had to carry all of that...thank you so much, Marion and Stefan ❤️.
We do the rest of our shopping at the “village supermarket” and of course enjoy a little walk as well. That feels good.
Freddy jumps into the sea once more and then showers, while I can only force myself to shower. Freddy makes me a washcloth for the shower, and I can shower as nature intended. Wonderful and refreshing.
Unfortunately, the sun disappears behind the clouds, and later it starts to rain...well, the sunny time is over for now. We have to prepare for rain and cooler temperatures. We decide not to leave this place for the rest of the year...it’s really great here, and you never know where you’ll end up, plus the supplies won’t dry up since the supermarket will remain open.
